Veterinary pricing is usually a bit opaque; pricing here is based on time and skills, and medicines are sold at the cost price from the wholesaler plus VAT. Prescription Only Medicines (POM-V) carry a dispensing fee, as do Non Prescription Medicines. A written estimate is provided for any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure and will only be exceeded if critical for the animal’s health and the owner cannot be contacted.
